Google review QR code guide: get your review link + print tips

How to get your Google Business Profile review link (or Place ID), create a Google review QR code, and print it so it scans reliably.

QRFlow Editorial TeamReviewed against generator behaviorMarketingPrimary tool: Google Review
How this guide is maintained

QRFlow guides are written against the current generator behavior, payload formatting rules, export paths, and print or scan checks in the product. They are meant to help users finish a QR workflow, not to exist as standalone SEO filler.

On this page
  1. 1) Get your Google review link
  2. 2) Generate the QR (QRFlow)
  3. Alternative: use a Place ID (advanced)
  4. Print tips (so it scans + converts)
  5. Optional: use a dynamic QR for campaigns

Use cases & print ideas

Redirect QR Code Use Cases
Use Redirect QR for a controlled destination path; only hosted dynamic QR lets the printed asset stay fixed while the destination changes after launch.
WhatsApp QR Code Use Cases
Generate a click-to-chat QR code so customers can message you without saving a number first.

A Google review QR code should open the “Write a review” screen for your Google Business Profile in one scan. Start with the Google review QR code generator.

In Google Business Profile, look for an “Ask for reviews” or “Get more reviews” action and copy the shareable review link.

  • Use the official review link (best UX: it goes straight to the review flow).
  • If you only have a Maps place link, it can still work, but it may take extra taps.

2) Generate the QR (QRFlow)#

  1. Open Google review QR code generator.
  2. Paste the review link (or Place ID) and generate.
  3. Scan-test on both iPhone and Android.
  4. Download SVG for print (or PNG for sharing).

Alternative: use a Place ID (advanced)#

If you have a Google Place ID (often starts with ChIJ), you can build a review form link like:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJ...
  • Add a label: “Scan to leave a Google review”.
  • Use high contrast and keep a clean quiet zone (don’t crop the QR).
  • Print larger for signage; scan-test from the real distance.

If scans fail, use the QR code not scanning checklist.

Optional: use a dynamic QR for campaigns#

If you want to rotate destinations (different review prompts, seasonal campaigns) without reprinting, first check Dynamic QR availability and make sure the hosted short link can be maintained.

Quick answers

Common questions

Should I use static or dynamic QR for campaigns?
Use static for stable destinations. Use hosted dynamic QR only when you have an editable short link, saved edit key, and a reason to maintain the redirect after printing.
How do I add tracking without breaking scans?
Keep UTM parameters short and avoid long redirect chains to reduce QR density.
