Use a non-expiring Discord invite for printed QR codes
A Discord QR code is only as durable as the invite behind it. For posters, cards, event handouts, or permanent community signage, create an invite that does not expire and does not have a small use limit. Copy the official discord.gg URL, generate the QR, and scan it while signed out or from a second account to confirm that a new member can reach the intended server and channel. Add “Scan to join Discord” beside the code and use SVG for print. Temporary invites are appropriate only for short events where an expiration date is intentional and clearly communicated.
Permanent print needs a non-expiring, reusable invite.
Test the join flow as a new or signed-out user.
Use temporary invites only when expiry is part of the plan.
Before this page is included in the public guide directory, its examples are compared with the payload produced by the linked QRFlow generator and with the export and scan-readiness controls available in the current build. Camera, lighting, paper, print size, and destination apps can still change the result, so important print runs should always be tested on the final material and real devices.
Generate and label: Create the QR and add a clear call-to-action near it.
Test and export: Scan on phones, then download SVG for print or PNG for digital.
A Discord QR code should open your server invite in one scan. Use this guide after opening the Discord QR code generator so you do not print an invite that expires.
A server invite QR opens a discord.gg link. A Discord login QR authorizes a desktop or browser session and should only be scanned inside the Discord mobile app when you initiated the login. See the Discord QR scanning and safety guide.
Can you change a QR code destination after printing? Only with a hosted redirect link you control. Compare that path with a fixed static URL before you print.
Use 20-25 mm (0.8-1.0 in) for most business cards. Includes minimum size guidance for short URLs, larger sizing for vCards, quiet zone rules, and a card dimensions chart.
